iNET 900 Industrial Wireless Ethernet - The MDS iNET 900 is a long range, high speed, industrial wireless IP solution. It is available as a bridge unit or an access point. It is capable of 30 mile plus range and up to 512 kbps data rate for IP/Ethernet communications. It uses advanced 900 MHz FHSS technology for license-free operation in the 902-928 MHz ISM band.   - The MDS iNET allows customers to bring business critical information over the Internet using Ethernet or a serial gateway and onto corporate networks. This includes mission critical, revenue generating data from fixed assets such as oil and gas wells, compressor stations, pipelines, fluid storage tanks and utility meters. It also enables portable network access for vehicle based operation. It allows customers to bring business information over Ethernet or a serial gateway and onto IP based networks. This includes mission-critical, revenue-generating data from fixed locations such as compressor stations, pipelines, fluid storage tanks and utility meters. It also enables mobile network access for vehicle based operation. Each MDS entraNET 900TM cell is made up of one access point and multiple remotes (Serial or Ethernet): Access Point, provides both serial and Ethernet connectivity. Serial Remote, provides one serial port with protocol encapsulation over IP. Ethernet Remote, provides Ethernet connectivity to a single remote device. MDS entraNET 900 uses advanced 900 MHz FHSS technology for license-free operation in the 902-928 MHz ISM band. It is capable of up to 30 mile range and up to 115.2 kbps over-the-air data rate communications. This product is available for use in Class 1, division 2, Groups A, B, C, & D Hazardous locations. TransNET 900 Transceiver (Frequency Hopping) - The MDS TransNET utilizes FHSS (Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum) in the ISM Band of 902 – 928 MHz to provide reliable long range data transportation at up to 115.2 kbps. The TransNET provides transparent data communications for nearly all SCADA/Telemetry and EFM protocols including MODBUS. Any MDS TransNET may be configured as a repeater extension. This allows store and forward data operation to extend the operating range of the network. Multiple repeaters may exist at any level of the network preventing a single radio failure from disabling the entire network. There is no limit to the number of repeaters which may be used. This product is available for use in Class 1, Division 2, Groups A, B, C & D hazardous locations. They provide increased throughput, and longer range for multiple address systems. Transparent and direct asynchronous communication offers real-time communication. No extra software or programming is needed to implement communications using standard asynchronous protocols. A general purpose (unconditioned) digital output is available. The MDS Transceiver Series is field configurable as a master station or remote radio. They can operate as a half-duplex or simplex radio. They support all splits in duplex available. Simplex mode permits peer-to-peer radio communications.
